Christmas Dinner

Ho ho ho. Christmas day has arrives and the family goes out for Christmas dinner. Being quite a sophisticated young lady Lucy kicks off with Palma ham and melon as a starter.

Then the main course arrives. That is a big plate of food for a little fella! She has basically got the same as the grownups (apart from her own bottle). Yum Yum.

Obviously she has to ensure that she is attired in the appropriate head wear.

By a strange coincidence Uncle Doody and Aunty Sue are sporting similar fashions.

Grandad pops over to help Lucy read her "In the Night Garden" comic. To be quite honest, he barely knows his Iggle Piggle from his Makka Pakka but having dragged brought 4 kids up he knows a thing or two about entertaining sprogs.

Aunty Pink joins in the Sponk wrangling duties. Jonny is amused.

Uncky Kev has the right idea. Yorkshire Bitter. Mummy prepares to tuck into a fine pint of Northern goodness.

Lucy sticks to her Iggle Piggle jigsaw.

Aunty Sue is a teacher so she has to practice looking disapprovingly over the top of her glasses every day. It is part of teacher lore. In the background, naughty school children Grandma and Aunty Tiss carry on chatting in class regardless.

Flouting the law, Lucy tries her hand on the one armed bandit. There is a clear notice saying over 18's only be we choose to interpret that as months.

After all the excitement Lucy has a nice glass of orange to calm down.

Going to bed on Christmas Eve

Lucy plans to get a good nights sleep before the excitement of Christmas tomorrow.

Grandad does Nursery Rhymes

Grandad entertains Lucy by reciting nursery rhymes with all the actions. Her favorite is "This is the way the old man rides"

Christmas Eve Tea

It's Christmas Eve and everyone is getting excited! Grandma and Grandad have layed out an excellent party tea.

Lucy is put off her food by the sight of Aunty Pink picking her nose.

Tree Hat

Lucy turns herself into a Christmas tree with this special hat.

Box: Boat? House? Takeover!

This must be a warning for Christmas. Lucy's favorite toy at the moment is a cardboard box! So I suspect that quite a few Christmas presents may be slung casually to one side as Lucy plays with the box and wrapping paper.

When the box is on the ground like this Lucy calls it her boat.

When it is on the side she call it her house. This is a particularly versatile box.

In order to make the box even better and evoke maritime feelings Mummy and Lucy decorate the flaps with pictures of octopuses and sharks.

But they didn't recon on the pirate Captain Barney capturing Lucy's ship.

Doody helps with Gloves

Lucy is struggling to get her gloves on so Uncle Doody offers to help.

Looks like Doody is baffled as well!

Super Nug

Lucy loves being wrapped in her lovely snugly Nug. But the problem is that it is not very portable in that configuration.

The answer it to use it as a super hero cape. Nugman!

Christmas Tree Angel

Seems like Mummy has been watching Blue Peter and getting all creative. What is this we see on the top of our Christmas tree?

It's a little Lucy angel that Mummy has made. Ahhh.

Matt Reads Lucy a Story

Uncle Matt is over and reads Lucy a nice story about fish.

Odd Socks

It has been suggested at various points in Lucy's sartorial development that her Daddy is perhaps not the best dresser of a little lady. Well let it be said that it was Mummy who took poor little Lucy out to face the critical judgement of her playgroup friends with ODD SOCKS ON!

More Nug

Lucy is getting more enamoured of her woolly Nug.

Barney's new friend

Despite the recent thawing of relations between Lucy and Barney, he has seen fit to hire himself a guard dog to make sure Lucy cannot attack him in his sleep. (Alternately Mummy might have got Lucy this cute dog as a present and Barney has adopted him).

Lucy's First Haircut. Mullet gone!

It is pretty hard to deny that Lucy's hair has developed a somewhat "Mullet" like style. That was fine though - she was twenty months old and had never had a cut. So how to get her locks back in shape?

Enter our resident hair dressing specialist - Mummy. Initially Lucy didn't seem too concerned. Probably because she had no idea what was happening.

We tried to keep her distracted by looking at a book of her favorite stickers.

Hmm. Does this seem totally level?

Lucy adopts the sultry look which is so in vogue amongst models who have transitioned from a mullet to a cool bob.

Lucy has fallen to sleep in Daddy's chair. Nug to the rescue.

Lucy, Odj and Oscar feast on a fine meal of fish fingers and chips. The bag of salad on the table was not troubled by the little fellas.

Norfolk Horse

Our weekend in the Norfolk was very much in the country. So some of us took the opportunity to have a stroll and meet the local horse. Here are Wig and Odj, Uncle Si, and Mummy and Lucy.

Entertaining Kids

This weekend we are all in Norfolk to celebrate Uncle Damon's 40th Birthday. There will be 11 adults and 5 kids all staying in a converted barn. Marcus picks the short straw and get to run the first creche. Holly, Odj and Lucy are his first customers.

Obviously watching "In the Night Garden" brings all the kids together. Lucy, Holly, Odj, Millie and Oscar all chill.

Later on Mille and Oscar put on a show for all the adults, dancing to songs from Greece and Katy Perry. Lucy, Odj and Holly were not to be left out so joined in.

Owl

Lucy loves owls. Aunty Tiss was not to know this but some how her librarian intuition led her to buy Lucy this fab Owl Shirt. Lucy likes her Owl shirt.

It's all a bit much for Lucy so she has to sit down for a drink.

House

The Tombliboo's in "In the Night Garden" live in a funny house. Lucy has decided that it is funny stuffing her Tombliboo toys up her shirt shouting "House"

As we can see from this side aspect, having a shirt full of Tombliboo's does little to reduce her "puppy fat".

Lucy doesn't seem to mind very much.
