Gardening with Nana Moo

Lucy is helping Nana Moo do some gardening at her home.

The gardening needs watering so Nana shows Lucy where the rain filled water butts are that they use to fill the watering cans.

"Worry not Nana Moo", says Lucy, "I've got it" she says attempting to lift a watering can about twice her own weight.

Plants are getting a bit tedious to Lucy. I wonder if there is anything more interesting we can grow?

A Lucy Tree! Where is that watering can?

Nana Moo reads for Lucy

Nana Moo is generously reading Lucy a story. A rather ungrateful Lucy appears to be checking her spelling and grammar using a dictionary which she has mysteriously acquired.

Are you sure you mean take rather than bring Nana?

Tea and a Book

Back home from the Fair, Lucy has fish fingers and peas for her tea.

Whilst we were at the Fair, Daddy spotted a stall which was selling children's books. Better still, the stall was manned by the authors of the books. Previously the only books that Lucy has had signed by the famous author are the works of Jennifer S Porter aka Grandma. But now she has The Catnapping Cat signed by author Judy Allen and When Lulu Went to the Zoo signed by author and illustrator Andy Ellis. Lucy managed to charm the authors by thanking them personally. Both books have become firm bedtime favorites, Aunty Pink reads Lulu to Lucy for the first time. You can see for yourself how enthralled she is.

Busy Day

After an exciting day at Barnes Fair with Aunty Pink and Mummy and Daddy, Lucy takes a break in her push chair.

Horse's Head

In a desperate attempt to stave off demands for a Pony later in life, Mummy and Daddy get Lucy a "Talking Stick Horse"

"It appears a bit skinny" observes Lucy.

It certainly looks more sensible when Aunty Pink demonstrates how to ride it. Ish.

Carousel

Lucy goes to have a look at the Carousel. She has a go on it with Mummy a little later.

Swing Ride

At Barnes Fair, Lucy and Jelly Bear decide to go on a swing ride.

It is a bit dull waiting for the ride to fill up.

But then we're off!

Weeeeee. This is 'citing.

Lucy and Jelly are having a thrilling ride. Although the little girl on her right does not seem quite so impressed.

Pub

Lucy visits the beer garden of a nice pub in Whitton. She tries to force feed Mickey the pig a gingerbread man.

Mickey needs to cleanse his palette.

Lucy and Mickey put on a show for everyone.

Claremont Landscaped Gardens

A nice day out with Pink and Stew to Claremont Gardens. Lucy likes the adventure playground.

It has some fun rides to play on.

And a little house. Lucy goads Aunty Pink for being left outside.

Daddy and Uncle Stewby take a stroll round the grounds. Lucy takes the easy route!

Even so she still needs a sit down.

Water Lilies in Kew

Mummy and Lucy are in Kew Gardens. They are in the Water Lily House.

Lucy is fascinated by the water lilies

But clearly the Lily Pads are the best bit. Where is Jeremy Fisher when you need him?

I could get used to this.

Mummy Gets Her Chips

Lucy thinks that it is very funny to feed chips to Mummy.

Just to be sure she pushes it halfway down Mummies throat.

Ice Lolly

Mummy and Lucy enjoy an Ice Cream and Ice Lolly looking at Barnes Pond.

And very lovely it is

As indeed are the two ladies.

Telescope

Lucy is something of an expert when it comes to telescopes. Although her experience has normally been limited to a toilet roll tube.

She certainly soon gets the hang of it.

It is amazing seeing the ceiling so close up. Perhaps next time she can stand on a box and look out of the hide.

Wetlands

Mummy has taken Lucy to the London Wetlands Centre. Here she is in this hide observing nature.

Time for a quick sit down outside the hide.

Lucy is chatting away to the ducks.

Can I get chips with that?

The Dentists!

Lucy's first trip to the dentist. She looks a bit apprehensive at first.

But she needn't have worried. The dentist is lovely and all he does is count her teeth and then give her a big sticker of the cat from Shrek. Lucy has 16 teeth.

In Tents

All kids love tents. Lucy and Mummy sit demurely in it, which is quite hard to achieve in a tent that looks like a cow.

Lucy is rather less demure with Daddy.

Lucy Fans

Aunty Pink is well known for loving having Lucy sitting on her lap.

It is rather more unusual to see the child phobic Aunty Tiss giving her a cuddle.
