Gardening in Whitton

Aunty Pink and Uncle Stewby haven't been looking after their garden very well. Lucy puts on her gardening gloves to help sort it out.

Plenty of watering is probably the answer.

After all that hard work Lucy and Stewby relax with some crisps and humus.

Gardening with Nana Moo

Lucy is helping Nana Moo do some gardening at her home.

The gardening needs watering so Nana shows Lucy where the rain filled water butts are that they use to fill the watering cans.

"Worry not Nana Moo", says Lucy, "I've got it" she says attempting to lift a watering can about twice her own weight.

Plants are getting a bit tedious to Lucy. I wonder if there is anything more interesting we can grow?

Lucy plants some Strawberries

Mummy has decided that Lucy will have great fun growing her own strawberries. She first uses her frog watering can to prepare the soil.

Then she uses her special trowel to dig the holes ready for the plants.

In goes the strawberries.

Make sure that all the plants are securely seated.

Then a final watering from the watering frog. Lucy Titchmarsh.

Green Fingers

Mummy has decided to plant some more heather in the back garden. First thing up is to dig a nice big hole. Lucy's efforts seem to be more in the advisory capacity.

Lucy is something of a back seat driver when it comes to manual labour.

But she is there to help clearing up while Mummy gives the heather a good drink.
