Big Tele

Aunty Sue tries to get Lucy interested in her electronic keyboard. Having played a grand piano at Grandma and Grandads she isn't convinced.

However, when she manages to get hold of the remote control for the big TV she is rather more interested. That is a BIG TV!

Meerkat World

Obviously you would think that this picture was taken in the Bahamas or some such Tropical Paradise. Actually it is Leeds. You heard - Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Mummy and Lucy get Tropical.

Ali, Uncky Kev and Jonny worship the meerkats.

Aunty Sue, Daddy and Spork watch a meerkat playing around a cactus.

Colin Meerkat has a rest and cools his meerkat boots.

It seems that Lucy has joined the meerkat massive. Colin Meerkat checks out any predators to the right while Lucy keeps any eye out to the left.

The money shot! Colin Meerkat having a look about the place from the top of a burrow.

Aunty Sue

Aunty Sue watches as Lucy shows her how her little car works

Of course Lucy just goes on and on until she hits something that will stop her. In this case the house. Fortunately due to recent improvements the house is still standing.

Milly and Uncle Simon

What a treat. Being Oop Norff we get the chance to see daddy's top mate Uncle Simon and our goddaughter Milly. Milly loves meeting Lucy again.

Milly has an inflatable hammer that her Uncle Ports gave her. It says everything about how fond she is of Lucy that she doesn't whack her. She did whack every one else of course.

Down at the pub, Lucy reads her book.

Later on, Milly, Lucy and Ali get prime position at the bar.

Lucy had ordered a bottle of house white, Uncle Simon helps her drink it.

Grandad

Grandad and Lucy are having a conversation about fruit. Specifically she is very grateful for being given a banana.

Grandad goes on to discuss the philosophy of soft fruit. "What you talking about Willis" says Lucy.

Grandma

Grandma decides to explain nature to Lucy

Lucy loves Grandma but is still holding out for Attenborough or Uncle Colin when it comes to nature. Grandma is more the music teacher.

With Grandma in the Garden

Lucy runs down the garden. Grandma tries to keep up with her determined progress.

Grandma and Grandad have a statue at the bottom of the garden that is about the same size as Lucy. She likes it.

Grandma shows Lucy around the rest of the garden. She is a very good teacher.

Except when it comes to driving. Almost the dictionary definition of the "Blind leading the blind"

The Ol' Joanna

On her latest visit to Grandma and Grandad, Lucy has another go on the piano.

This is a little lady who loves the piano and especially being taught it by Grandad.

You can tell that she is becoming an expert because she is using the black keys.

Grandma and Grandad have a special chair so that Sprocket can rock the moonlight sonata.

Grandma and Grandad

Lucy loves giving a nice bear a snuggle while Grandad pretends to read a newspaper. Grandma sees through his intellectual ruse.

Once Grandma has a bear of her own she can relax and just enjoy Lucy.

Grandad in the Garden

"Hello Grandad, can you give me directions to the end of your garden"

Part of a Granddad's job is to be concerned about his little ones safety. Here you can see him checking the steering on Spork's car.

Getting Pushy

Lucy is very good at pushing her little car about the place. But when she goes for a walk around Richmond Park with Daddy she decides to take the pram pushing duties on herself.

In fairness she has some challenges with corners but she is brilliant in a straight line.

Here she goes...

Bouncy Castle!

Lucy is confused as to why Mummy would have put her swim suit on when she is in the back garden.

The answer is that Aunty Lorna bought Lucy this fantastic inflatable swimming pool for her birthday. At first sprocket is a little unsure.

But she soon realizes how cool it is.

But it isn't just an inflatable swimming pool ...

The swimming pool is actually the Moat of a bouncy castle

Lucy loves playing on the slide which links the moat and the castle.

Until we caught her trying to let the air out having found the inflation nozzle.

Fortunately we stopped all that deflation monkey business and she got back to sliding

BBQ Snags

We had a BBQ at the weekend. Lucy loved tucking into a nicely barbecued sausage cooked by Daddy.

Notice how dark the sausage looks? Daddy isn't the greatest chef so it was also the first time that Spoink has tried charcoal.

Whilst she politely finished the burnt sausage we did think she had earned some milk.

Floppy Hat

Mummy took Lucy over to the cricket pitch for a walk and to eat some raisins.

Lucy loves raisins.

Toys

Mainly because of the generosity of her friends and family, Lucy has got loads of toys. Loads and loads. But the question is - does having loads of toys make you happy?

Yes.
