Sprout Pizza

There are some folks who are not fond of The Sprout. Perhaps they were subjected to horrible over cooked veg as a child which has forever blighted their perception, or memories of Christmas dinners with sprouts that turn to a puddle of smelly greengoo as soon as the fork touches them.

But these poor folks have no idea what a wonderful veg the micro cabbage is. Lucy is a big fan an has elected to have Sprouts as the principal topping on her home made pizza.

You won't see that on the Domino's menu!

Pierced Ears

It is a funny old thing, but even though Daddy has three sister and a Mummy, he was the first in his family to get his ear pierced*. Lucy's Mummy decided that Lucy shouldn't have to wait. So she pierced her ears using a blunt needle and a frozen sausage**

Ta dah!

And of course the other side

Just imagine how bad a three year old would feel if they couldn't look this good.

Notes: * It isn't just girls who have their ears pierced, but as it happens my Dad has never bothered. ** It's a joke - of course she didn't - that would be such a waste of a sausage

Red Faced

As a general rule, when the lip stick is on top of your nose it is more clown than high fashion

Barney

Even though Boo is the alpha male in the Porter clan, he sometimes needs to wander off to do some plotting. So he leaves Barney his hench cat in charge.

Barney tries to rules the roost with a paw of steel and his laser eyes ...

But the truth is we just ignore the soppy old stripy fool

Advent Calendar

Mummy has "broke*" Lucy her first Advent calender

It is a princess!

* Lucy' uses "broke" to mean and mixture of bought and brought. For example "Aunty Pink broke me a present". Perhaps she will make more of a distinction when we start giving her pocket money.

New Storage in Lucy's bedroom

Lucy's piles of toys have gradually been taking over the living room.

The living room was starting to look more like a creche than a room for adults

Despite having her lovely new pink bedroom we had not taken down her old cot. So it was time for a change.

The new storage solution was not in fact designed to store Lucy

But it had lots of draws and tubs to store all her stuff

That's much better

Cake

Asking a young lady why they like cake is inviting ...

.. a rather quizzical expression

Young ladies like cake because it is cake!

Later in Leeds

Lucy is having a lovely spread out tea back at Aunty Sue and Uncle Kevs

Then work off some of that dinner with a ride on Jonny's old red train.

Then a nice cuddle with Grandad

Followed by attaching herself limpet like to her "favorite boy" Jonny

Then a nice story from Grandma

Aunty Tiss was there as well but somehow managed to avoid having her photo taken with Lucy. Not deliberately mind you, her child phobic reputation is not backed up by the evidence

Posh Leeds Lunch

Lucy is out for a rather lovely lunch with cousin Jonny and his girl friend Abbey. For her starter Lucy has breaded boiled eggs with prosciutto and asparagus. They is posh in Leeds.

For her main course Lucy selects fish and chips. Unfortunately they insist on garden peas rather the mushy variety that every person of taste and distinction knows is they appropriate accompaniment for the classic British dish. However, Lucy is prepared to struggle on.

After Lunch, Abbey entertains Lucy with her iPhone

And what app has Lucy so entranced? Talking Tom Cat. Fortunately this is also a version for Android so Mummy and Daddy can attempt to recapture her affection.

Jonny draws Peppa Pig

Jonny is drawing Lucy a picture

Lucy covers her eyes - it's going to be a surprise

It's a rather fine picture of Peppa Pig

Jonny's 18th Birthday

It's cousin Jonny's 18th birthday so everyone has come to his house to celebrate

Lucy has managed to get hold of one of the rather fine birthday balloons

There is suddenly a rush of excitement to the side, Grandad and Lucy look to see what it is.

It's Uncle Kev with Jonny's birthday cake

Jonny prepares to blow out the candles whilst an elderly paparazzi tries to capture the moment.

Lucy has certainly captured Jonny

But not for long. Jonny gets tickling Lucy's feet

Then Jonny reads Lucy a story about wild boars

Lucy listens with Pluto, who was one of Jonny's friends when he was Lucy's age

Just before going to bed Grandad reads Lucy one last story

Doing your own makeup

Lucy has got some special crayons for drawing on her face

She knows what is possible because she has experienced it before

It is quite difficult to assess what creature Lucy now resembles. Possibly an angel fish?

Mummy has a go. That is a bit more like it.
