Simon's Tomatoes

Simon has been growing some tomatoes in his back garden. He was waiting for them all to ripen before picking them. But he didn't recon on Lucy's voracious tomato habit. She pretty much scoffed the lot.

In the end Milly helped her get the few that were left.

Lincolnshire BBQ

Lovely, a nice BBQ at Uncle Simon's. Lucy is about to tuck into a sausage but it is a bit hot so she has to blow on it to cool it down.

Ah, that's better.

Milly goes for a fine chicken skewer

Uncle Simon checks out the Savignion Blanc before risking the food.

I'm not a number, I'm a free Sponk

Is it just me or does this look like a shot from the famous sixties show The Prisoner?

Baby you can drive my car

Lucy has a go in a funny little red car. A bit like Mummy's.

Hedgehog

Lucy has a go on a huge Hedgehog

Swingers

Mummy and Lucy have a go on the big swing

Lucy's having a great time.

Then Lucy has a go on the little swing while Milly has a go on the big fella

What a Croc

Lucy tries on one of Milly's Crocs. Could it be on the wrong foot?

"Oi! I'll put it on whatever foot I like!"

Milly Draws Everyone

Lucy is on holiday at Uncle Simon's in Lincolnshire. Milly suggests to Ali that she can draw a picture of us all.

She begins her magnum opus.

Can you tell who everyone is? Obviously it is Ali, Ports, Lucy, Simon and Milly. (clicky clicky to enjoy bigger)

Pigtails

Another landmark day that has made Mummy very happy. Lucy's hair is just long enough to have her first pigtails.

Mummy was giggling far more than Lucy

Lucy and Holly dine in style

Lolly's all round for Lucy and Holly

They always come to that point when Mummy's have to help out by pushing the lolly up in the tube.

In fact Lolly's can be far more high maintenance than you might imagine

In the end Lucy decides to sit down and really concentrate on the job at hand

Shoulder Ride

Who needs all the rides in Legoland when you can sit on Daddy's shoulders

On the little Train

Holly, Ellen and Mummy have a wave from the little Duplo train. Lucy looks like she is more interested in her ice lolly.

Lucy could take some lessons from Holly on how to look at the camera.

Lucy rides the Red Spring

Down at Duplo World Mummy suggests Lucy might like to try the Red Spring thing.

To start off with she looks a bit pensive

But she soon gets the idea.

Lucy goes down the Legoland hill on a big train

Lucy goes to Legoland again with Holly and Mellon. She takes the big train down the hill.

Slide Away

Lucy has already learned how to go down a slide. Now with Mummy's supervision she has learned to walk up them.

All the way to the top

Sitting Practice

Mummy puts Lucy through some intensive sitting practice

Lucy and Jake

Lucy and Jake share an armchair as they watch an episode of Scooby Do

Lucy is a bit more interested in her baguette than the cartoon.

Being four years old, Jake is also a bit more adept at sitting. Lucy will need some more practice.

Puffa Jacket

We went over for a BBQ at our friend Trevor's. Unfortunately it was raining. Lucy's only waterproof coat is this ridiculous puffa jacket. She doesn't seem to mind though.

What better to keep the rain off you head then stealing Aunty Pink's baseball hat.

Being a young person, Lucy is well aware that the current style amongst the cool kids is to wear the hat sideways.

A lull in the rain affords Lucy the opportunity of taking off her puffa jacket and pulling a face at Daddy. Cheeky monkey.

Mummy shows Sprocket round the rest of the garden.

Wibbly Pig

Mummy reads Lucy a Wibbly pig story. Highly recommended literature.

Puddles!

Yay! There has been a lot of rain so Lucy gets to try playing splishy splashy in puddles for the first time.

Of course she also does a bit of Saturday Nigh Fever style dancing.

Nothing better than trying to catch the leaves floating in the puddle.

Although it does mean you get wet hands.

Now, where is the next puddle?

Short Stuff

It is astonishing to see how much Lucy has grown since she was born 16 months ago. However, when you see her beside a fully grown person like Daddy she still looks quite small.

I would say that makes her approximatly one third my height. So if she continues at this rate of expansion she will be approximatly 24 feet tall by the time she is 18 years old.

Bart

Seeing Bart and Lucy together it is amazing how many parallels I can see. Cowabunga!
