Motoring Fashion

As any young lady knows, one should be attired correctly when taking a trip in a motor vehicle. The current vogue seems to be stripy woolly jumper accessorised with stripy Muji Rabbit friend.

Yup. That seems to be a happy little lady.

A friend indeed

What about this for self sacrifice. Lucy fell to sleep while she was sucking on Muji Rabbits ear. Rather than wake her up, Muji just sat there until she awoke. What a selfless bunny. Fortunatly Charlott was there to witness his heroics with this picture.

Mummy and Lucy's Richmond Adventure

Since the weather was still good, Mummy decided to take the Sprocket out for the day. A pretty good starting point is Richmond Park.

Obviously if you are going to be out in the bright sunlight then a smart pair of sunbins is mandatory.

If you leave Richmond Park at Richmond Gate it brings you out on Richmond Hill which I believe has one of the best views in London. You would hardly believe that you are still in the middle of such a big metropolis.

Ali let's Sprock appreciate the lovely view.

Next it's a trip down from the Hill to Richmond Riverside. A great place to watch the boats meandering down the Thames or just to appreciate the ducks.

And finally Lucy and Muji Rabbit end up playing on Richmond Green. Mummy had been pushing the Sprock around for six hours to do the full tour of Richmond. They took the bus home and missed the rain by five minutes. A grand day out.

Bumbo

Ali and I took Lucy over to Mothercare to get her a cot. She will probably carry on using her Moses basket for a couple more months but it is good to have the cot ready for when she moves into her own room. While we were there I spotted the Bumbo baby seat.

The key feature is that it supports a baby so they can sit upright even though they are still a bit floppy. So even though Sprock is only just 3 months old she has her first proper chair. Muji Rabbit is a bit dazed.

While we were waiting in the queue to pay Daddy couldn't resist the pink hat with ears.

Over the last few days we have discovered that Lucy's favorite game "flying". That is being held up over our head.

Plop!

Aunty Pink is going to be very relieved that her kind present of Plop the Bear has found a place in Lucy's heart. Here they have a snooze together.

Of course Plop isn't replacing Muji Rabbit. Quite the reverse, Plop and Muji are firm friends.

Muji Rabbit cops an earful

Lucy has never had a dummy (pacifier). It's not that we are against it, it's just not something that has seemed necessary up till now. Or so we thought until we found her giving Muji Rabbits ear a good sucking.

It's a good job these two are such firm friends. Many other rabbits would object!

Lucy plays outside on a Sunny Sunday

Mummy has her Sunday Lunch outside in the lovely sunshine. Notice the glass of white wine with a pint of milk chaser. Racy.

Lucy is impressed by how her Miffy umbrella can keep the worst of the Suns rays of her bonce.

Lucy checks that Muji Rabbit is also being protected from the Sun. Stripey rabbits don't like to get too hot.

Lucy reads a book with her Mum. She doesn't seem too interested, probably wishes it was Miffy.

Lucy plays on her mat

This is the second play mat that Lucy has had because Barney the cat stole her last one. The new one has a giant Hippo on it and little toy hippos that she can play with.

Muji Rabbit likes to play on the mat with Lucy as well.

Grandma writes Lucy a song

Lucy is very proud that her Grandma is a famous author and composer. You may know her from such works are Simply Nativity and The Garden!. These excellent collections of songs are aimed at little children - which happens to be exactly the catchment area that Lucy falls into.

Lucy had an awesome surprise this morning when she found a parcel waiting for her from Grandma and Grandad containing a brand new song that Grandma has written specially for her called "Lucy and Muji rabbit looked".

As you can see the pack came complete with sheet music, a CD with the music and a letter. Lucy suspects that Grandad may have had something to do with the CD and presentation since Grandma's talent for composition isn't quite matched by her IT skills.

Sample lyric: "Lucy and Muji rabbit looked. Who did they see today? They saw Mummy. They were very glad. That's who they saw today." Clever Grandma. Lucy and Muji rabbit like their song.

Lucy tries on Dad's old hat

Daddy, Muji and Lucy sit out in the garden.

Lucy tries on a furry hat that he used to wear when he was a little baby.

It transpires that Lucy has a smaller head than her Dad.

Perhaps this little hat is a rather better fit!

The sister's round again!

We just can't keep that Aunty Pink from coming round and doting on her nice little niece. Not a problem as long as she isn't going to be silly.

Hang on - who's been playing with Muji Rabbit! I think we have a suspect.

Muji does a little hunting and discovers Aunty Pink's partner in crime. Chilled Savignion Blanc.

Muji gets Aunty Pink to look up abstinence on the Internet. Only joking - she's looking at pictures of Lucy on this very site.

Lucy's favorite friend - Muji Rabbit

Despite all the generous animal gifts that lucky Lucy has received so far (Humphrey Bear, Knitted Dog, Plop Bear, Herbert's Bear, Little Cow etc.) there is only space for one in Lucy's little heart. Muji Rabbit.

Aunty Tissy's gift is the only rabbit for her. Perhaps because she has almost as many stripes as Lucy's romper suit.

I think it is beyond doubt that Lucy and Muji are going to be firm friends.
