Hampton Court

Lucy has brought Mum and Dad and Pink and Stewby to Hampton Court to see if all the stuff in Horrible Histories is accurate.

The first thing we did was of course the famous Hampton Court maze. Lucy led the way and guided us with laser like precision (if it is a laser that occasionally goes in circles and has to retrace it's laser footsteps) directly to the centre.

If you find yourself struggling to get out of the maze - here is a map.

Plenty of daffodils

Pink and Stewburt don't go to posh houses unless there is a promise of afternoon tea. Hampton did not disappoint with both cream teas and fairy cakes.

Inspired by all the magnificent art and pictures around the Royal Palace, Lucy draws herself in a picture frame.

A right royal family

Lucy is enjoying a horse drawn trip around the grounds.

Stewby chats with the carriage driver about the use of shire horses and how they used to use shire horses at Young's to pull the drays around South West London. Turns out that our driver used to work at Young's as a dray driver. For 20 years. And he also used to regularly make deliveries to Ye White Hart. And he drove the Dray that Pink and Stewby used for their wedding day! It's a small world.

Lucy checks out the more flattering end of the horses.

Perspective

Lucy and Daddy have a rest from walking around

King Donkry the 8th has a snack and goblet of mead.

Interesting carvings of "under the weather" folks in the court yard.

Cheeky monkey!
