We normally dress Lucy better than this. She looks like Max Wall.

This Sucks

Bizarrely, one of Sprockets favorite toys is the stick from the center of her Stacking Hen Toy.

I think chewing it might help her new little teeth.

Sunny BBQ

Uncle David was over from Australia so Ken and Chris arranged a BBQ. David always seems to bring the weather with him - it was a scorcher. Great Grandad Don and Nana Moo admire Lucy's fine new Sun hat.

Nana Moo had bought Lucy a present. Lucy is getting much better at ripping open wrapping paper.

Mummy and Nana Moo take Lucy for a stroll round the garden.

Mummy enjoys a glass of beer in the shade.

And then Lucy has a bottle of the good stuff.

Sprockets Farm

Mummy and Daddy took Lucy to Bocketts Farm. It is a kind of farm theme park near Leatherhead. I was going to photoshop the sign to be Sprockets Farm but I couldn't be bothered.

This sheep was ignoring Lucy until she said "Baa-ram-ewe, baa-ram-ewe. To your breed, your fleece, your clan be true. Sheep be true. Baa-ram-ewe". Then they were friends.

Lucy comes face to face with a Pony called Lance.

Daddy explains to Lucy that she is not getting a pony.

When the chance arises, Lucy always enjoys a good swing.

Being on a farm its is only right that Sprock has go on a tractor

Even though he is enjoying driving it, this tractor is a little bit too big for Lucy.

Riding Daddy is a much more appropriate form of transport.

Or so we thought until we found the area with the Sprocket sized tractors!

Forget the Pony - I think she wants a tractor!

How can you possibly distract a little girl from her favorite tractor? PIG RACE!

In fairness to the porky pigglets they could certainly get a fair clip on.

And their reward was a big bowl of lovely food.

The Evil Drink

It all starts so innocently.

Just one little drink.

Next out comes the comedy headwear.

Then more booze.

It was always going to get messy.

(I hope I don't need to point out that the can was never open)

Knackered

Mummy took Spoink for a walk up to the beautiful Richmond Hill. On the way back she ate nearly a full punnet of strawberrys. By the time she got home she was a little fatigued.

During our trip to Legoland we had Lucy's picture done by a street urchin. We'll let you judge how accurate her rendition is.

Legoland with Holly

I know what you are thinking, we must have taken Spork to Cape Canaveral in Florida in order for her to visit Nasa and see the Space Shuttle Orbiter and an Apollo Rocket. But no, it is actually Legoland in Winsor were we went with Mellon and Holly.

Mummy and Spork watch an interesting reinterpretation on the Pide Piper of Hamlin at the Duplo Theater. It starred muppets, Roland Rat and Elvis!

It looks like they both had a lovely time.

Pink Feet

Perhaps getting Lucy a pair of pink trainers wasn't the best way to disguise the phenomenal expanse of her feet.

Doh!

Big Strawberry

Lucy is a big fan of the Strawberry. Especially big ones that she can gnaw on for ages.

This strawberry is almost as big as her hand.

Party Time

Lucy went to a party today for Rafi, one of her NCT friends who has just turned one. All the other 5 babies were there and it is great that they are happy and well little one year olds. They all enjoyed playing in the bouncy castle with balls in it.

Lucy had a lie down on the play mat while Little Lucy and Oscar play together.

Little Lucy decided to check to see if Lucy has any teeth yet.

Sprock was not impressed.

However, her spirits did improve when all the babies had a go at pass the parcel. Here we see John and Charlotte with Evie, Ben with Little Lucy and Daddy with the Spoink and the parcel.

Little Green Dress

Nana Moo got Lucy this lovely green dress for her birthday. Mummy thinks it is very sweet.

Aww. That is a very cute little girl.

Still a cheeky little monkey though. Note that her dress nicely coordinates with Barbar the Elephant which Aunty Piiink bought her.

Lucy continues her crusade to torment Barney

As has been previously reported, Barney has been getting a bit of a hard time from his little sister Sprock. See here, here, here, here and here. However, until now his torment has been limited to when he is in the house. When he was outside he was safe. Or so he thought. Now Sprock got wheels.

He never expected to see her charging down the back garden.

Lucy is very pleased with herself.

New Battle Chariot

As has been previously documented Lucy is now too long for her Car Seat. So a replacement was called for. We also wanted to get something that would match out new Jalopy. In the end we went for a Maxi Cosi Priorifix Trail.

Apart from being able to fit in it, the big advantage for Spork is that she can now face forward and see where she is going.

She seems to approve.

Daddy takes a cheeky picture from the rear mirror. (Notice the red lights: we were stopped at a railway crossing. I don't take photo's when driving :-)

Cheers

Following the landmark of Lucy learning to walk. The next major stage in her development it to teach her to say "Cheers" when we are all having a drink. Obviously the first stage of the problem has been solved - she really likes a bottle of the house white.

I mean that she really likes her milk.

Here Mummy is having a medicinal Guinness after a hard days work. Can she persuade Lucy to say "Cheers"?

Well she can't say it yet - but she certainly knows the actions. Cheers Sprock!

Walking

So Lucy has been walking with the aid of her little car for quite a while.

I think it is pretty safe to say that she enjoys it.

But here is the proof that she has now started walking without any assistance. And not just controlled falling or a couple of tentative toddles - she can now wander where she likes. Good job we got the demilitarised zone installed in time.

Lucy's favorite TV show

Like most modern children (and indeed some adults), Lucy can be transfixed by programs like In the Night Garden and Pingu. But it is gratifying that her favorite is The Simpsons.

Hopefully this will teach her about authority figures.

And also Father/Child discipline.

The Yellow Shoe

It's an old story. Give a kiddie a present and they will just play with the box. But look at the huge selection of toys that Lucy has got.

And yet she decides she wants to play with a yellow shoe.

Parklife

It was quite a nice day today so it was time for a trip to the park. First up Mummy helps Lucy play on the rocking horse. Upsy Daisy was along for the ride.

Daddy helped Sprock have a good swing. He pushes the swing nice and hard so Lucy and Upsy Daisy squeak with excitement while Mummy and Nana Moo look on disapprovingly.

Nana Moo's swing pushing is a little more sedate.

Grandbaa

For her Birthday Grandma and Grandad gave Lucy two little toy lambs. We have christened them Grandbaa and Grandad. Lucy loves practicing hugging them. We might just call them both Grandbaa because Lucy clearly cannot tell them apart.

Egyptian Hat

Last time my sister Sue went to Egypt it was for her Honeymoon. When she returned to Blighty she bought me a T-Shirt sporting the timeless and witty legend "My sister went to Egypt and all she bought me was this T-Shirt". Oh how I laughed. However, she has made significant amends. Aunty Sue, Unkey Kev, Jonny and Aunty Tiss have returned to Egypt (obviously Jonny and Tiss weren't there last time!) and this time they have bought Lucy a nice present. Not pictured is a very cool red T-Shirt with the name Lucy written in ancient pictograms. Very educational. They also bought her this Arabic hat which is very colourful and totally bonkers. Which suits Lucy very well.

Spork Sausage

For the first time Lucy got to try eating a sausage. In fact she ate two full Cumberland's.

It should be noticed that Big Pig, Mickey and Mockey in the background were less than impressed with her pork consumption.

In Pink at Pinks

Sprock wore her best Chav gear round at Aunty Pinks.

She even has a fine Hoodie.

When Lucy decides to go for a crawl around the place - Aunty Pink is more than happy to join in. Can you catch her?

Sprock decides to come back to Pink.

Uncle Stew sits with Lucy while Aunty Pink tries to teach her to make "woo woo" sounds.

Out and About

Lucy enjoys a bottle of house white when she is travelling.

Messy Eater

Like most kids, Lucy is quite capable of getting a bit of food on herself when she is dining. She has excelled herself today by smearing a fish cake over the majority of her body.

Swinging

Lucy and her friend Holly are having a go on the swings in the park.

A good read

If you're down the pub with your little girl it is important to have something to distract her. An "In the Night Garden" book normally does the trick.
