Christmas Dinner

It's looking like everyone is here and ready for a loverly Christmas Lunch.

Lucy gives Daddy a cuddle while Aunty Pink chews a wasp.

Looks like Uncle Col enjoyed his festive soup.

Lucy raises a point of order.

Aunty Sue giggles like a loon

Aunty Tissy tries to figure out why her paper hat is not fitting on her head

Lucy blows on a volcanic carrot.

Lucy and Jonny are testing each others strengths. Which of these mighty combatants will prevail?

Lucy of course (with a little help from Jonny!)

Lucy and Grandma pull a Christmas cracker.

Kev surprises Mummy and Stewby with an outrageous anecdote

Kev is very pleased with himself

Aunty Sue shows Uncle Col and Grandma photos she has just taken. Uncle Col is aghast that she has managed to get to Boots and back so quickly.

Aunty Pink is told there is no more white wine.

But there is more at Grandma and Grandads' house!

What a cracking Christmas Lunch

Grandad walks a happy Lucy back to his house ready for more excitement!

Christmas Morning

There appears to be some sort of mole burrowing into the enormous pile of Christmas presents that have magically appeared this fine Christmas Morn.

"Are any of these presents for me?", enquires Lucy. She is both relieved and excited to be informed that one or two of them may actually be for her.

Lucy surveys Mt. Present.

It is literally a mountain!

Looks like Father Christmas has left some pretty impressive munitions in someones stocking. Who could possibly be operating this pig popper and taking pot shots at her Dad?

The pig sniper is captured.

As a punishment Daddy savages Lucy with a fearsome tiger.

Someone looks a bit angry!

Ah! It is just Lucy wearing another of Santa's kind presents.

Lucy and Daddy have a tickle game.

Mummy is in the Christmas spirit.

My my! Who is this dashing executive lawyer type preparing to escort Lucy to Lunch? I bet he is familiar with the Chewbacca Defence.

Christmas Eve

The excitement is building. Christmas is nearly here. And what more Christmassy sight can greet a little girl when she arrives in Hull?

Grandad looking very much like a certain reindeer wrangler and elf boss who lives at the North Pole.

Lucy naturally gravitates to Grandad and recites her Christmas list to ensure that her demands are properly understood.

Grandad goes to prepare Friday Tea so cheeky Lucy takes the chance to sit in "THE" chair that Grandad insists isn't really just his but everyone else knows is.

Grandma is playing with fire as she lights candles while swigging a bottle of cider*.

Lucy has spotted one of the Christmas decorations that Aunty Tissy has brought to beautify the Christmas tree. Lucy decides that she wants it to beautify the inside of her tummy. Negotiations ensue.

Lucy has got hold of Daddies camera. She decides she needs to adopt the appropriate paparazzi head wear. Who should be her first victim model?

Break out the wide angled lens! (For that beautiful smile).

Lucy shows her adoring public the results of her photographic genius.

Lucy has a little rest with Mummy.

Just in case Grandma has forgotten what a reindeer looks like, Lucy gives a helpful demonstration. She is quite an expert having seen lots of deer in Richmond Park.

Lucy has a sit down on Daddy.

Daddy subtly listens in to Aunty Pinks conversation.

What is this approaching the chair that Lucy is sitting on?

No more sprouts for Grandad!

The Porter Family - as seen by Lucy

Lucy and Mummy with brown eyes and Daddy with blue eyes. That is CSI style scientific levels of detail right there. Barney and Boo's eye colour aren't obvious from this forensic analysis - but it is nice that they have been included in the family portrait.

Dawn and "Steve" come to stay

Mummy went to University in Wales with her top Friend Dawn. Dawn's little girl has just turned two years old. She is called Nimah.

Some how Nimah is prounounced Neve. Good luck in phonetics class!

Niamh is very good at using a grown up fork.

Lucy keeps calling Naimh "Steve". Lucy loves "Steve".

The girls decide to watch Toy Story 2 while Mummy and Dawn catch up. Daddy looks after the kids. Lucy gets into the spirit and dresses up as Jessie.

Respect has to be earned
