Lyth Hill

Lyth Hill is a ridge just to the south of Shrewsbury made of Precambrian rocks. The rocks there are what are known as conglomerates. The ridge provides good views west into Wales and south to the South Shropshire Hills. It is an ideal place to survey the landscape of South Shropshire. You probably already knew all that.

But it is also a great place for the junior geologist to try out their stripy jumper and woolly hat.
