Fleet Air Arm Museum

We have returned to the excellent Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovillton. Lucy is comparing the weight of different materials that aircraft can be made from. Hopefully she now knows why Concorde was not made of lead.

This funny looking helicopter is a Westland Dragonfly. It was mainly used for air sea rescue.

Uncle Stewby shows Lucy how to shoot planes down

Lucy gets to try out a Morse code transmitter that would have been used on a ship. Unfortunately she believes that SOS means "send out sausages".

Lucy loves watching a Phantom take off on the aircraft carrier simulator.

On the poop deck

Aunty Pink does not look destined to be a Harrier pilot

Lucy looks like a natural though
