At the Prayground
Lucy has come to the prayground. First she has a climb on the train.
Next she has a sit at the top of her favourite slide
She surveys her Kingdom
Next up it is time for a bit of a swing
She quite likes going very high on the swing
Not quite sure what these funny things are called
But Lucy can sure scoot over them

Binoculars
Keen nature watcher Lucy is checking out the habitat in her local park using her new binoculars.
You may be surprised to learn that she made these binoculars all by herself
Even though they may not have the advanced optics of some of the more expensive models - these will do handsomely for now. And if Uncle Col wants to borrow them then he just has to ask.

Climbing Tree
Lucy's favourite climbing tree is just next to the prayground in the Vine Road Recreation Ground.
Unfortunately for Lucy the Council prioritised safety over Lucy's opinions so they have chopped it down! So this will be the last time she climbs it :-(

Bike Ride
Lucy is going for a bike ride by the cricket pitch on Barnes Common
She has the focus of Bradley Wiggins
Though after about 100 yards, it appears not quite his stamina!

Barney
Barney is sometimes portrayed as being somewhat subordinate to his Machiavellian brother due to being a "sangwich" short of a picnic in the smarts department and being rather timid
But Lucy loves both of her furry brothers equally.

A Day in Richmond Park with Mummy
Mummy and Lucy are spending a day together in Richmond Park.
Lucy is rushing because she wants to get to the "prayground" near Petersham Gate.
She starts of having a nice pig ride
... before taking a more conventional horse ride.
Girls together.
Time for a swing
Slip slip sliding away
Lucy is certainly top dog
I can see some deer from up here!
Walking back up the hill to Pembroke Lodge where the car is parked, Lucy has a quick pit stop on a bench.
However, it is rather apparent that Lucy is really tired.
Even though she is tired, Mummy tricks Lucy into climbing the hill by playing real life Whac-a-Mole on the mole hills which go up the slope to the Lodge.
And of course there is always time to climb a tree.
Many dazed moles are waving clenched paws at Lucy just out of shot.
Finally at the top. What a great Mummy day.

Lucy Linnaeus
Modern biological classification has its root in the work of Carolus Linnaeus, who grouped species according to shared physical characteristics.
While Lucy was playing in her bedroom she arranged all her animal models into three groups. Farm animals, Wild animals and Arctic animals. Apart from the farm Gorilla she has got it pretty much perfect. She was very pleased with herself but not half as pleased as Mummy was when Lucy explained what she had done.

Science Experiment with Toast + Banana Bonus!
Today Lucy and Daddy are conducting a toast based experiment. Obviously her science lab coat is required.
She has a special stamp that must be pressed into the bread.
This is a very serious experiment.
Must make sure that the pressure is even to get an accurate result.
Yup - the preparation seems to have gone well.
Now to place the bread into the processing equipment.
Start the equipment.
There is a lot of waiting in science.
The equipment indicates that the processing is complete.
What a result. Perfectly embossed Tom and Jerry toast.
Lucy is most impressed with the result of her experiment.
However, most great science is an amalgam of multiple disciplines so Lucy decides to push it up a level. Enter the banana.
Lucy chops the banana up.
Then mushes it into a fine paste.
She carefully applies it to the Tom toast.
Then the Pièce de résistance - the tasting
Altogether a successful morning of science. And yummy banana on cat toast.
