Temujin's 2nd Birthday Party

Who can believe that Temujin is already 2 years old! He has invited a bunch of his friends to Gambado Soft Play in Chelsea for adventurous play followed by a party tea which Alexis has made.

Temujin gets to sit in the big throne because he is the Birthday boy.

Hang on - looks like someone has dethroned Temujin. Actually little Tem wanted to sit on one of the little seats as it gave him better access to the yummy party food.

Lucy and Temujin look at the brilliant cup cake birthday triumph that Mummy Alexis has baked.

The two friends share the throne as they tuck into the beautiful cup cakes

Lucy surveys her dominion from the throne

Tem's Daddy Matt discovers that hard fought dignity is easily lost when you have a two year old son

Temujin finds a tiger in his party bag

What a splendid Birthday Party

French Plait

Mummy is giving Lucy her first French Plait.

It is quite an involved job to get right

Mummy is doing lots of concentrating

But the result is well worth it. Even if Lucy doesn't seem particularly impressed.

Finding Fairies in Richmond Park

Lucy is tramping round Richmond Park looking for fairies.

They must be around here somewhere

Lucy has gone to King Henry's Mound in the grounds of Pembroke Lodge.

Hurrumph. Still no fairies.

Maybe I'm the fairy!

1st Proper Day at School

So this is Lucy's proper first day at Lowther Primary School.

She is certainly not the first child to treat the rather impressive sign at the entrance as a climbing frame.

If you are interested in how another new starter got on then this is quite Instructive

Anyway - enough of these japes - time to go to the school hall ...

... where every child was asked by Head Teacher Mr Tuffney to make a literal big step into big school. You can imagine that Lucy's big step didn't disappoint and Mummy and Daddy were quite emotional as the little train of children snaked off to start their journey into education.

Lucy's first chance to see her classroom at school

What a thrill. Today Lucy is getting her first chance to see her class room in preparation for starting school next week. The kids have to go in their brand new school uniforms so Mummy lays it out on the bed ready. Lucy is really excited.

She gets dressed and puts on her long school socks for the first time. Not sure that they are meant to go up quite that high.

Always a good idea to have a hearty breakfast before a big day.

And a bit of fruit to give her plenty of energy.

Lucy is proud to be able to use her new "rocksack" for the first time.

Still pretty excited.

Waiting for the bus.

Obviously managed to grab the back seat on the bus.

Ignoring the school, Lucy heads straight for the adventure pwayground equipment. Just like Daddy did on his first day at St John's.

Lucy on a JCB

While Lucy was at the pwayground she couldn't help notice that a little boy had got an electric JCB toy. By leveraging the power of her big doe eyes she managed to persuade the boy's mother to give her a go. As the kind lady attempted to explain to her how to drive the truck, Lucy sped off almost taking the woman's hand with her.

The little boy had to run pretty fast to keep up with Jenson Lucy as she tore round the paddling pool.

It certainly looks like Lucy will pass her driving test before Aunty Pink.

Pwayground

Lucy is having a swing with her friends Plop and Tiny Cheetah

They seem to be enjoying themselves

When it is time to have a go on the rocking horse Lucy ensures that all her friends have a good seat.

Speed Freak

Lucy is getting much better at riding her bike

Look at me!

Getting to know your child

Lucy's new school asked us to fill in this form as a family to help them get to know her better. Daddy was very pleased when Lucy's teacher Miss Jenkins visited and said that she was very impressed and that it would go up on the wall at school. Daddy feels he should compete with 4 year old children more often.

Shame Lucy insisted on a picture of Panda which meant Uncky Kev got bounced!
