Lucy's First Bike

As a very special surprise, when we get home from Yorkshire we discovers that Pink and Stewby have got Lucy her first bike. Less of a surprise is that it is pink. With princesses on it. Very pink. Being very responsible they have also included a helmet (also pink). In fact the only shock is that the high visibility jacket isn't pink.

(Incidentally - this is far funnier when it has "The Chain" by Fleetwood Mac playing in the background as originally intended. Unfortunately YouTube spotted my use of their tune and disabled the audio in a cruel and heartless example of corporate spoilsportiness. So if you wouldn't mind humming it from 29 seconds in - you know - the theme music from Formula One)

Christmas Presents

After Christmas Dinner it is time to open all the presents that Father Christmas has "broke".

Lucy loves opening presents

What a result! Aunty Tiss has given Lucy Bullseye from Toy Story 3. "It's just what I wisheded for" says Lucy. (No - not that one. This one)

Uncle Stewby takes a tactical snooze when the excitement gets too much.

Lucy nearly explodes with joy when she sees her next present.

It's Jessie! (No not that one, this one!). Well done Grandma and Grandad.

This is how a room should look after opening Christmas presents. Not sure what Jonny is doing with that Barbie doll though!

Christmas Dinner

It's Christmas Day. Mummy, Grandad and Lucy are waiting to go out for Chritmas Dinner.

Aunty Pink and Mummy are getting into the Christmas spirit. Especially Aunty Pink.

Gramdma shows Uncky Kev how good she is at the hand jive.

Aunty Tiss is stunned by the display.

Lucy finds a new use for party poppers.

Grandma continues her hand jive tutorial

Lucy: "My cats got no nose". Jonny: "How does he smell?"

Lucy: "Like a bottom!"

Christmas Tree

Lucy is helping decorate the Christmas tree

Very festive

She puts the special angel (which is a picture of her) on the top

To watch the clip on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etnBCEQmLBM

Snowman

Lucy has gone on a sledging adventure on the cricket pitch.

She has found an enormous snowman

She loves the enormous snowman

Sled

Because of all the snow, Mummy has retrieved the sled that Aunty Niki and her used to play on when they were little girls.

Who would have thought you could have such fun with a sled without even going outside!

It's like a mini climbing frame

CarryBoo

"Do you know, I really love to carry Boo"

Snow Ball

In the near Arctic conditions in Barnes the only thing to do is to put on your biggest winter coat and start making snowballs

Christmas Decorations

Lucy is making some Christmas decorations. First she cuts out a Christmas tree shape.

Then she puts some glue on it.

She liberally sprinkles glitter all over it.

Then shakes of the excess glitter to reveal ...

A prefect Christmas tree

Sprout Pizza

There are some folks who are not fond of The Sprout. Perhaps they were subjected to horrible over cooked veg as a child which has forever blighted their perception, or memories of Christmas dinners with sprouts that turn to a puddle of smelly greengoo as soon as the fork touches them.

But these poor folks have no idea what a wonderful veg the micro cabbage is. Lucy is a big fan an has elected to have Sprouts as the principal topping on her home made pizza.

You won't see that on the Domino's menu!

Pierced Ears

It is a funny old thing, but even though Daddy has three sister and a Mummy, he was the first in his family to get his ear pierced*. Lucy's Mummy decided that Lucy shouldn't have to wait. So she pierced her ears using a blunt needle and a frozen sausage**

Ta dah!

And of course the other side

Just imagine how bad a three year old would feel if they couldn't look this good.

Notes: * It isn't just girls who have their ears pierced, but as it happens my Dad has never bothered. ** It's a joke - of course she didn't - that would be such a waste of a sausage

Red Faced

As a general rule, when the lip stick is on top of your nose it is more clown than high fashion

Barney

Even though Boo is the alpha male in the Porter clan, he sometimes needs to wander off to do some plotting. So he leaves Barney his hench cat in charge.

Barney tries to rules the roost with a paw of steel and his laser eyes ...

But the truth is we just ignore the soppy old stripy fool

Sharing a Lolly

Mummy has got a lovely lolly. Being a kind hearted soul, she shares it with Lucy.

How kind of you Mummy. Thank you for sharing.

Now where is my lovely lolly!
