Stripy Chair

Lucy is feeling pretty laid back in her stripy chair

I think it is safe to say that Lucy is quite relaxed

Although wearing sunglasses inside is not really necessary

Day trip to Whitstable

Lucy and Daddy at Whitstable harbour

Aunty Pink cannot convince Lucy to try the jellied eels.

Photo Opportunity

Lunch time pitstop for a half of shandy

Lucy decided her best friend Panda needed a chrysalis. Goodness knows what she though he would emerge as. A butterpanda? A Panderfly?

Not much of a sandy beach - but Mummy and Lucy are making the best of a bad job

Lucy endeavors to make a sand/stone castle

She fills her cup with beach and turns it out ...

Bah!

Still, we all had a brilliant time. We even found out about the Maunsell Forts which we could see out to sea.

A Weekend in Kent

What brilliant day in Kent doesn't start with your Aunty Pink reading you a story about Elmer the Elephant?

It's always a good idea to have a little bit of quiet time before tea.

And what an awesome tea it was. Who doesn't love a brilliant spread out (Crawley language) / Friday tea (Yorkshire patois)?

Aunty Pink gets to read Sponk her bedtime stories. Owl Babies is always a favorite.

Then a last swig of milk and off to sleep.

Avant-Garde T-Shirt

Pink and Stewby have played a blinder. For the start of our weekend in Kent they have "broke" Lucy a paint your own T-Shirt kit.

Lucy is well excited.

She starts off keeping in between the lines and ensuring colour separation.

Then the colours seem to be getting mixed together a bit.

And the final t-shirt is - erm - colourful*. Next time you are near the coast, keep an eye out for those red dolphins!

* Lucy does wear the t-shirt. Normally when we know we aren't going out

3D

Lucy wanders around the place wondering how to enhance her experience of the world.

As luck would have it she has found the glasses that we used when we went to see Toy Story 3 in 3D

The thing is, with two glasses the world just looks like Buddy Holly has had a costume malfunction.

Ah, that's it. This is how we get 3 dimensions. Were is everybody?

Lucy and Jake

It's Aunty Pink and Uncle Stewby's anniversary. A big gang of us headed up to celebrate Stew's patience and poor sense of smell.

Pink tries to show Jake and Lucy how to use Andrew's iPhone. I think Jake is actually showing Pink!

Because this is a posh Belgian style restaurant they call their chipped potatoes "frites". But really this is sausage and chips. Aunty Pink helps Lucy blow on the CHIPS to make sure they aren't too hot. Much to the disgust of "mayonnaise and frites" loving Mummy, demands for ketchup are not far away. Lucy loves ketchup.

After dinner we go back to chez Sell where Jake and Lucy attempt to find amusement with a wire rat.

The lame wire rat didn't last long so the kids (and Mummy*) watch a DVD.

* Aunty Lorna was also there but Daddy knew better than to include her in the photo

The Deep

Mummy, Daddy, Grandma and Lucy are joined by Aunty Sue and Jonny at the famous The Deep submarium in Hull. First order of events was to get some food at the canteen. Lucy insisted on sitting next to her cousin. Lucy has fish and chips.

There were plenty of fish to look at as well as eat.

And a Lucy sized Hampster?!

Mummy helps Lucy check out some modern light weight diving equipment

Outside The Deep is the Humber Estuary
