Lucy's First Train
Nana Moo played a blinder for Lucy's Christmas present. Being an adoring grand parent she spoilt Lucy with loads of stuff including some books and this adorable black dress with red shirt. But where she really excelled herself was with Lucy's first train set!
As you can see, Lucy is entranced as her little train goes round.
Whilst it isn't exactly Hornby it is all there. A steam train with coal tender and a passenger coach, a station and a level crossing. That's the basics covered. What could possibly go wrong?
Boot!

Mummy and Lucy have a Snooze
How cute is this. Mummy and Lucy have a snooze together.
Daddy was quite amused to watch Lucy rise up, look round, sling her empty bottle and then snuggle back with Mummy under their Nug.

Eat your peas Nana Moo
Many years ago Nana Moo created Mummy's bizarre and perverse aversion to Gravy by force feeding her rancid pea and lamb casserole. Would Nana Moo spot the link when she opened her Christmas present from Mummy?
She did spot the link, partly because Mummy was giggling like a naughty schoolgirl about her own cleverness. Nana Moo rose above such things and reads "Eat Your Peas" to Lucy.

On the Bench in the Rain
Whilst out for Sunday Lunch at the Idle Hour with Mummy and Nana Moo, Lucy became a bit restless and demanded that we take her outside to play. Despite the fact that it was bucketing down with rain. Daddy drew the short straw. Lucy made a bee line for this art deco bench.
She decides that she is going to ride it like a horse. But it is a bit wide.
Success! "I done it" she says in triumph.
Lucy looks like she could happily sit in the rain all day. But daddy hasn't got a nice duffel coat like her so we go back to the pub.

The Jungle Book with Mummy
Lucy the little man cub loves watching The Jungle Book. She starts off sitting in her boat/box.
But by the time Baloo starts dancing she can't sit still.
However after a bit of time she starts flagging a bit.
By the time Mowgli is seduced by the hussy near the man village Lucy is quite relaxed

Webby
Lucy is a very lucky little girl. She gets to play with Daddy's precious teddy bear Webby. He is 41 years old and a bit on the fragile side but Lucy is very respectful to the elder bear.

Barnes Pond
Mummy takes Lucy to Barnes Pond to see the Ducks, Swans and Canada Geese. From this angle all looks pretty normal.
It is only when you look a little to the right that you realise that apart from this little bit - the whole of the pond is frozen solid. (If you click on the picture to see the bigger version you will see that the wildlife is walking on rather than in the water!)

Out for Lunch with Mummy
Mummy is taking Lucy for Lunch at a posh Italian place in Barnes Village. Lucy is excited.
Being the sophisticated gastronaut, Lucy tries whatever is offered to her. However, it is quickly apparent to her that olives are the testicles of Satan. No thank you! Spit spit.
Not surprisingly after the foul olive debacle she is a little tentative with the next course. Classic pasta with tomato sauce.
Yum yum. She soon determines that the pasta is the good stuff.

Pig Race!
Down at Sprocketts farm that is little more exciting that the pig race. Seven piglets each colour coded. Lucy is given the yellow flag to wave.
On your marks, best trotter forward, get set ...
Go! Go on yellow Pig.

Tractor
On a trip to Brocketts Farm Lucy decides to have a ride on a tractor. Mummy is incandesant with rage when Lucy points to one of the funny red cars and says "Mummy's Car". Daddy is amused since there is more than a passing resemblence between the comedy red pedal cars and the ones at the farm.

Tiara
Lucy is looking like a bit of a hippy chick with her flowery shirt and matching tiara.
Best get reading this counter culture book. Man.

Fish Tank
Jonathan and Lucy both love fish. Lucy is a bit embarrassed that Jonathan is taller than her so she insists that he sits down.
Until she finds a more elegant solution. Tanks very much.

Snowy Shropshire
Lucy is experiencing the joys of Siberian Shropshire. Thank goodness for her new duffel coat.
Aunty Niki briefs Lucy and cousin Jonathan on the nature of Siberian ice.
The two mini scientists examine the ice in great detail.
Jonathan is quite keen. Lucy applauds his efforts but has cold hands. Rub rub.

Blue Beret
Lucy looks like some diminutive super model with her swanky blue beret and surreal dinosaur chum.
There is a slight suggestion that the hat might be a trifle too big.

Ham and Tree at Pinks
Lucy is determined to visit Aunty Pink and Uncle Doody's house over Christmas so she can see their legendary tree. Sitting in a cot of pigs with her new cardigan on looking at the awesome tree - life doesn't get much better.
Aunty Pink has layed on quite a spread of ham and tomato's. Lucy starts of quite demurely. Notice her little finger
A little later she hits the bread. A little less lady like.
All pretence at being posh is instantly quashed when the ham comes out. The effect is even more harrowing when you see Big Pig's expression behind her. Lucy has yet to make the pig/ham connection.
She kicks the pigs out of the cot so she can have a proper lie down after her ham frenzy.
A satisfied customer.
