Tired

This is a tired little girl. Even with the ever amusing Aunty Pink busting her best moves to amuse Lucy, she is clearly very close to going up the stairs to Bedfordshire.

Little Bear

The Sprockmeister has got a new bear suit.

I think it is safe to say that she approves of it.

Lucy Sits with Mummy

Lucy and Mummy sit together as they check out a bit of Television. Much as I would love to claim that they were enjoying the Open University or some such educational programming, it was actually The Simpsons which is Sprock's favorite. Cowabunga!

Vincent Van Sprock

Mummy decided to help Lucy with her first painting experience. Prudence dictated that this should happen outside to limit any carnage. First things first and Lucy's wing is dipped in the paint.

Then the magic happens. It might just look like a hand print but I can assure you that she wiggled her fingers a bit as well.

We could now enjoy a philosophical discussion on the nature of art - but suffice to say that Lucy's first painting, whist admittedly in the nieve tradition, is indeed a masterpiece. It is now artistically decorating the fridge.

Mummy Coaster

Who needs Alton Towers when Mummy can give you such an exciting ride!

First Wotsit

Lucy has had a chance to try her first Cheesy Wotsit. (It isn't really - it's just a maize snack that looks like one). As ever - she isn't so sure to start off ...

But then she chomps the Wotsit like the snack nirvana that it is (or actually sucks it given her lack of teeth).

SuperSprock

Uncle Matt pops round to see Lucy.

"The thing is Uncle Matt", Lucy says, "I'm convinced that I have super powers and can in fact fly. Do you think you can help me realise my supernatural gift?"

"Oh I think we can figure something out", says Uncle Matt.

Tour Eiffel

Lucy's friend Jerome got her this fine tower as a Christmas present. It certainy towers over Sprock and Muji Rabbit. Perhaps after trying to teach her French he is eager for her to learn about the Eiffel Tower.

Hmmm. It looks like Lucy's tower was not quite as well built as Gustave Eiffel's version.

Lucky Aunty Pink is on hand to help with teh repairs.

Bonjour Jerome

Mummy and Lucy went round to see their friends Solene and Jerome. The Mummies swap babies to see if anyone will notice.

Sprock and Jerome have been friends since they were very little babies so they always enjoy playing together.

It seems that the little Frenchman is trying to teach Lucy Française. He seems very pleased with himself.

Neither of the little ones seem particularly pleased to be wrapped up in so many layers for a trip round Kew Gardens though.

Ladies in the Wars

Oh dear. Lucy looks a bit peeky and Mummy looks like she has clonked her bonce on something.

Yup - that is one baby who isn't looking very well. She has a nasty cough and is running a bit of a temperature. Looks like she has picked up another bug.

Obviously we dosed her up with Calpol, but Mummy knows the best medicine. A good old huggle.

We also let her stay up a bit extra in her sleeping bag for a little more milk. Bless. Hopefully Lucy and Mummy's head will both be better soon.

Puzzled

Sprock is pretty smart - but some of the more advanced educational toys have still got her stumped. Mummy offers assistance.

Jelly Baby

One of the lovely things about being a little tot is that you are constantly being bombarded by new interesting experiences. One of the main things being new foods being introduced periodically. Naturally evolution dictates that children are initially suspicious of a new taste until they are certain that it is not a threat/poison. It is normally pretty obvious when Lucy has decided that she likes something because of how wide she opens her mouth indicating she wants more.

Today Mummy offered Lucy Jelly for the first time.

Initially she was indifferent to say the least.

However, Mummies have a way of coaxing babies into trying things.

What can Lucy be thinking? "YES PLEASE! MORE OF THAT! MORE JELLY PLEASE!"

In fact she has become so fond of Jelly that her head almost turned into a Pez Dispenser. This is a little lady that likes her jelly.

Photography

Lucy is shocked and appalled that Aunty Pink is such a Luddite that she is still using some sort of old fashioned Kodak Brownie style film camera that produces printed photographs rather than a digital camera.

Of course Aunty Pink has a digital camera (and camera phone for happy slapping). She just wanted Lucy to see an old photograph of her Grandma's Mummy.

The Prisoner

If Lucy misbehaves she is put straight in the naughty prison.

Barney's ongoing torment

Lucy is never happier then when she is playing with one of her fine educational toys.

Except of course for when she can sneak up on poor old Barney and give him a good prodding.

Matt's New Year visit

Matt pops over to see the Sprocket. Fortunatly even though they were both wearing stripes they didn't clash so neither of them had to go home and change.

Insert your own "Is that thing real"/"Look at the size of that beak" joke here.

Waving

Mummy has taught Lucy wave. She is particularly fond of waving at the cats.
